Enrichment Education Coordinator

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The EEC will coordinate, lead a highly successful winter, spring, summer and holiday camp program, participate in school program development and delivery, oversee the museums’ hands-on Junior Docent Science a'la Carte program and high-school internships, and assist the Education Director with APS teacher interfaces. The EEC will also be involved in community outreach efforts, including annual museum events and an after-school programs.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The EEC will work with Education docents, high-school aged volunteers and staff, the Director of Education, Museum Educator, Volunteer Coordinator, and instructors to ensure a consistently high level of visitor service and quality programming. The topics for the programs may include nuclear physics, physical science, science applications and history for students and families. 

Other Information/Requirements: 

Must have excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience working with camps, informal science education for a range of ages is a plus. Must have a high degree of personal energy and creativity and be exceptionally well-organized and able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced museum environment. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college required.. Must have proven ability to work in an organic team orientated environment.
