Emerson School Director

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Emerson Club Director works, & is a member of the school leadership team. Under limited supervision this person will lead, manage and coordinate operations with primary concern for program and services. He/she will recruit and retain staff and volunteers. The director, acting as the Community School Coordinator will build relationships with school staff and community partners, engage families and community residents and coordinate efficient student support.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college preferred.
• A minimum of 3-4 years work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization at a professional level.
> Ability to plan, organize & direct school/club non-instructional operations.
> Bilingual in Spanish required.
> Driving is required: must have a clean driving record, be at least 21 years of age & have a valid New Mexico driver’s license.
> Mandatory CPR & First Aid Certifications.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Must be able to work in an environment with children, be able to lift & carry 20 pounds, sit for extended periods of time, stand for at least 4 hours at a time, & run if necessary.
