Educator - Early Childhood Focus

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for developing and facilitating inquiry-based learning experiences for audiences of all ages, with an emphasis on younger children. Educators are skillful at creating STEM interactions that are engaging, effective, and memorable for visitors and program participants, both at Explora and during outreach around the state.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Model Explora’s pedagogy, demonstrate excellent customer service, and contribute positively to the Explora Education Team. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in field of emphasis (i.e. early childhood, family studies, physical science, biology, art). Ability to work evenings/weekends and Spanish fluency a plus.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in field of emphasis (i.e. early childhood, family studies, physical science, biology, art). An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted, as long as it directly relates to the essential duties and responsibilities.
Experience working with children, especially in a museum or informal setting.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and planning skills.
