Educational Services Director

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Explora seeks an Educational Services Director to lead, develop, and manage a team that includes 12 full-time staff and 30 high school interns, with direct supervision of five program coordinators. The Educational Services Director will oversee development, facilitation, and evaluation of a wide variety of curriculum and educational programs, serving over 60,000 students and teachers a year, both on-site at Explora and throughout the community.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsibilities include setting and managing the Educational Services budget, writing program contracts, and tracking and reporting program results. The Director will develop and nurture relationships with other educational entities and networks throughout the state and will manage both small- and large-scale projects with community partners, in order to work systemically to affect change.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum qualifications include a BA/BS degree, professional experience with both personnel and project management, excellent writing and organizational skills, flexibility, imagination, and a passion for lifelong learning. Some weekends and evenings required.
