Education Coordinator

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Education Coordinator will be responsible for conducting program mapping of education resources currently available to youth aging out of foster care in the Albuquerque Metro area. Phase II will include the development of supports to assist young people in obtaining their high school diploma and/or GED, supports in navigating campus life and brokering services that will increase post-secondary education success.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Education Coordinator is responsible for overall implementation of the grant deliverables. The Education Coordinator works closely with the Youth Advocate Fellow and Youth Coordinator to serve the young people involved in the NM Youth Opportunities Initiative

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, graduate degree or equivalent experience is preferred. At least 2 years relevant experience working with young people. Must have a working knowledge of community mapping process and the education system in NM.
