Economic Development Program Manager

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Will be responsible for the overall development, implementation and evaluation of the economic development program activities that support the self- sufficiency and financial well-being of eligible refugee families throughout northern and central New Mexico.

Position will also be responsible for the development of relationships with strategic public, private, financial, and education partners in advancing programmatic goals.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

-Manages the Office of Refugee Resettlement’s Refugee Agricultural Partnership Program (RAPP) and Individual Development Account (IDA).
-Facilitates community and economic development planning in order to identify additional economic development opportunities.
-Trains LFS and Catholic Charities refugee staff, and other potential partners, on the economic development programs offered in order to screen refugees for eligibility and market the programs.

Other Information/Requirements: 

-Cross cultural sensitivity and knowledge with the ability to work with people of other cultures
-Background or knowledge in economic development, business, real estate, microenterprises, banking, employment services, community outreach, and community engagement.
-Expertise in building and maintaining relationships.
-Broad knowledge of practices, principles, and methods used in the resettlement of refugees, including knowledge and understanding of US Immigration laws and regulations.
