Early Childhood Teacher Assistant

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Early Childhood Educator (Teacher) is an education professional specializing in the instruction of children from birth to age 6. An early childhood teacher assistant will assist the early childhood teacher in an educational or developmental setting. This is a 25-30 hour/week position.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Essential job functions:
Will assist in the planning and executing classroom activities, help in the maintenance of a safe, healthy and stimulating classroom environment, and help to provide constant supervision of children at all tines including planning time, outside play, mealtime, and nap time in accordance with NM Children Youth and Families (CYFD) Licensure and Regulations.

Other Information/Requirements: 

1. High School Graduation or GED plus two years of experience in child care, with 45 Hour Entry Level Course
2. Basic Knowledge of preschool routines and policies
3. Ability to follow instructions and learn new skills while on the job
4. Possession of Cognitive, Organizational, and emotional abilities to deal with effectively with multiple stressors, deadlines, difficult situation and/or client needs.
