Main Areas of Responsibility:
Early Childhood Educator (Teacher) is an education professional specializing in the instruction of children from birth to age 8. An early childhood educator typically refers to a teacher; however, the term is also applied to teacher assistants, specialists, administrators, and others who come into professional contact with young children in an educational or developmental setting.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of students with an emphasis on language development and emergent literacy skills.
Provide for the screening and preparation of children to fully participate in program services. Participates as a member of the inter-disciplinary evaluation team with the ongoing evaluation and assessment as assigned.
