Early Childhood Liaison

Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Provide families and professionals with information and materials regarding the systems that serve New Mexico babies and toddlers ages birth-3 with disabilities or at risk for disabilities in order to promote access to resources and improve systems, conduct outreach and provide information and empower parents to advocate on behalf of their child(ren).

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Provide individual support to families of babies and toddlers seeking support through phone, in-person and email meetings.
• Provide workshops and educational opportunities each year to families of babies and toddlers
• Help educate families to develop and use leadership and advocacy skills

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Associate’s Degree in Social work or related field plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in community outreach or human services field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Two years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities or personal experience raising a child with disabilities
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
• Individuals must be able to pass a criminal background check.
