Driver/In-Kind Donation Assistant

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Come join our team at Catholic Charities! Our Driver/In-Kind Donation Assistant is out in the community collecting furniture and household items to setup our much needed apartments for homeless and refugee families in our community. This is a physical position with part time hours and your hard work will have a positive effect on newly housed families in our community. It's more than just moving furniture, it's creating a home.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for driving a midsize (Diesel Class 4) box truck in Albuquerque and surrounding areas, picking up donated furniture items, and delivering furniture and housewares to clients where needed. Must be able to keep to a schedule, navigate around the city using addresses and cross-streets, and follow all traffic laws and safety standards.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, NM Driver's License with a clean driving record, ability to drive and maintain a midsize box truck with 1-2 years of driving experience, ability to lift heavy furniture, good decision-making skills, good oral and written communication skills in English. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Pay range starts at $14.16 per hour, DOE. Eligible to participate in the 401K plan, PTO (paid-time off) and EAP (employee assistance program) benefits.
