Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Director of Policy and Advocacy is responsible for the overall development and implementation of Prosperity Works strategies to address systemic barriers or opportunities for low-income New Mexicans to build and retain assets.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Provides strategic analysis and background for the development of Prosperity Works’ policy agenda;
• Monitors and analyzes relevant activity at The Roundhouse, the executive branch, and peer organizations at the state and national level;
• Provides analysis of potential federal, state and local policies that support asset building strategies for New Mexicans.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Bilingual ability in English and Spanish preferred; 

• Advanced degree preferred. 

• Demonstrated ability to build cross-sector relationships to achieve goals and objectives;
• Demonstrated ability to analyze public policy proposals, and draft legislative proposals.
