Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Director of Philanthropy is responsible for the strategy, planning, directing and implementation of all business and individual donor fundraising activities with a goal of moving Communities In Schools of New Mexico in the direction of growth. The main areas of emphasis are business and individual and major donor fundraising. This position works in collaboration with the CIS Board Resource Development Committee and is supervised by the Executive Director.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Work with the Marketing and Communications Manager in support of CIS’s social media, internet and direct mail fundraising efforts and other campaigns. Manage Donor Database. Oversee and manage annual donor appreciation events, donor receptions and site visits.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree preferred.
Three years’ relevant business, fundraising experience.
Strong writing, interpersonal, communication, negotiation and leadership skills a must.
