Director of Outreach and Development

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Director will develop and implement outreach strategies and initiatives that promote Casa Esperanza and build new ambassadors throughout New Mexico increasing our visibility. The Director will help build Casa Esperanza’s resources by establishing and implementing the infrastructure needed for solicitation of major gifts, special events, individual contributors, corporate and foundation support

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Director will conduct presentations to relevant partners and community groups that expand the awareness of Casa Esperanza thus increase referrals and contributions. This position requires an individual who is self-confident, adaptable and able to work collaboratively with and garner the respect of the Board of Directors, staff, a variety of committee leaders, volunteers and donors.

Other Information/Requirements: 

College degree and 3-5 years nonprofit development experience required. Successful outreach and fundraising experience may be considered in lieu of BA/BS. Must be proficient in all MS Office applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Research and organizational skills, including grant writing and reporting needed. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends. Ability to travel overnight. Must have valid state driver's license and pass a background check.
