Director of Institutional Advancement

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Director will focus on the following four key strategic areas:1.)Development (annual giving, major gifts, capital campaigns,deferred/planned giving; corporate/foundation grants;2.)Constituent/Alumni Relations (includes building relationships and support from donors, prospects and alumni)3.)Marketing/ Communications (includes oversight of MAR/COM initiatives)4.)Strategic leadership/management: (operations, staff and budget)

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The DIA also serves as the liaison to the IAIA Foundation Board of Directors, giving guidance to the development and implementation of the Foundation’s strategic goals which are primarily focused in fundraising.

Other Information/Requirements: 

•Bachelor’s degree in related field, Masters Degree preferred.
•5+ years of senior-level, proven, and direct experience in organizational fundraising.
•Proven track record of high-level government and/or private sector fundraising of comparable scope.
•Demonstrated success working with diverse communities, such as Native American organizations.
•Direct staff leadership experience and expertise
