Director of Finance

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Director of Finance is a member of the Strategic Management Group, reporting to the Museum Director. He/she is responsible for the management of the Museum’s finances and investments, directing the day-to-day accounting and related financial activities of the Museum and analyzing, recommending and establishing appropriate policies and procedures.

Budget Development and Monitoring
Financial Reporting
Tax and Audit Completion
Day-to-Day Operations
Organizational Leadership
Ex-Officio member of Finance and Investment Committees

Other Information/Requirements: 

BA Accnting, Finance or comparable field, MBA/CPA pref Min of 8 years related exp, 5 years dept supv/mgt Exp working w/ non-profits/Board of Directors Develop , manage complex budgets Strong communications, interpersonal skills Knowledge of GAAP, non-profit accounting Work independently and in team environment Think, plan, act strategically Analytical problem solver Positive team player Good written/oral communications Collaborate w/ all stakeholders Strong customer-service orientation
