Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Santa Fe Institute (SFI) is seeking a Director of Finance to support our world-renowned non-profit research institute.
Responsibilities: Working in close collaboration with the President, the Director of Finance will:
• Oversee general accounting and financial functions of the institute.
• Act as a strategic advisor to the president and as a member of the executive team.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Work with our Advancement Team, Sponsored Research Team and program management on generating financial reports for federal agencies, private foundations, and individuals.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Manages and coordinates annual independent audit and annual IRS Form 990 submissions. Works with board of trustees to communicate clearly and lucidly the state of finances and helps maintain financial stability
