Main Areas of Responsibility:
The Director of Education is a senior museum management position that will set the tone for and administrate the entire educational program for the museum. This includes the direction of one full-time education department staff member, two part-time museum educators, seasonal summer camp staff including a camp assistant, instructors and camp counselors and numerous volunteers associated with creation and presentation of educational programs about science and history.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
Responsible for curriculum development and integration, attention to standards, presentation formats, overall education program quality, data collection and survey activities, teacher interfaces, program guide development, camp program services, educational outreach, annual events, grant compliance, and innovating with new programmatic formats and audiences to stay on the leading edge of science education in Albuquerque.
