Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Join a dynamic team of development professionals working to advance the mission of the University of New Mexico. The UNM Foundation seeks nominations and applications for the position of Director of Development for the UNM College of Nursing.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The successful applicant will be responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive development program in coordination with the leadership of the UNM College of Nursing, the UNM Foundation staff, and colleagues. The successful applicant will work closely with the Dean of the College, VP for Development, staff, volunteers and friends to identify prospects, develop strategies leading to solicitation, and steward major donors.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution required
• Five (5) or more years related experience in development/fundraising
• Experience in higher education or other non-profit organization
• Proven ability to close large private gifts.
• Willingness to travel and to work some evenings and weekends
