Main Areas of Responsibility: 

This newly created position directs fundraising and member engagement initiatives for Leadership New Mexico, an educational nonprofit organization. Responsible for sponsorship development, corporate fundraising and oversees the Lifetime and Alumni membership program, annual appeal, the implementation of the annual dinner and golf tournament.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Creates the development plan and program and is responsible for its successful implementation. Position identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards donors and potential donors to foster growth in the organizations fundraising; solicits corporate sponsorships; oversees the annual appeal; oversees the membership program; and seeks in-kind support. Position is also responsible for the Annual Dinner and Golf Tournament, a 400-person event held each spring.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree, 3-5 years of fundraising experience; strong interpersonal skills, and high level of personal energy. Comfortable with sponsorship calls to individuals, small businesses and major corporations and gift cultivation. Must be organized, excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team, and ability to maintain organized/detailed work while managing multiple projects. Proficiency in Microsoft programs.
