Main Areas of Responsibility:
The primary functions of the position are to identify, cultivate and solicit major gifts and annual contributions, execute special events, and ensure donor stewardship. Responsible for strategic planning and executing development initiatives and fundraising activities in collaboration with the Board of Directors, CEO, Development Coordinator, and other organizational staff and volunteers.
Additional Areas of Responsibility:
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of development experience including demonstrated non-profit fundraising, major solicitation, donor stewardship, outreach, and event planning. Experience with and/or awareness of the military population and culture is helpful. Must have a commitment to and excitement about our mission and vision. As a leadership position within the organization, the ability to delegate and provide guidance while juggling multiple priorities is essential.
