Director of Development

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Design and execute statewide development plan for NMLA, research potential funding, cultivate relationships with funders, oversee marketing/communications impacting development, plan and oversee fundraising events. Assist in identifying major gift and planned giving prospects.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Engage board of directors to increase involvement in donor activities and development efforts. Collaborate on grant proposals and annual giving activities conducted by NMLA.

Other Information/Requirements: 

3-5 years demonstrated success in nonprofit fundraising or similar experience preferred. Outstanding oral and written communication skills, experience in working with diverse perspectives, excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines. Experience in web-based fundraising strategies and management of donor databases.
