Director of Development

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Director of Development will be responsible for organizing fundraising activities and special projects, maintaining and expanding funding from private foundations, as well as developing new sources of income from individuals, special events, and governmental grants. This position will report to the President & CEO. The Director of Development will be responsible for achieving fundraising goals and engaging sponsors in ongoing activities.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Interest, enthusiasm, and affinity for fundraising and working with people
• Ability to write persuasive and clear grants for various programs
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Blackbaud software a plus
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
