Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The UNM Foundation seeks nominations and applications for an experienced, results-oriented individual with significant, successful major gift experience for the position of Director of Development for the University of New Mexico Cancer Center. The successful applicant will join a team of professionals in implementing a comprehensive development program

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

. The candidate will work closely with the Senior Director of Development, faculty, staff, volunteers, and friends to identify prospects, develop strategies leading to solicitation, and steward major donors.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an analytical, goal-oriented fundraising professional to provide strong leadership in designing and implementing a strategic program for annual support and to conduct major gift solicitations.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s Degree and five (5) or more years of fundraising experience with a track record of success through major gifts. Preference will be given to candidates who have functioned in a large university and/or academic medical environment. Travel is required. Capital campaign experience is preferred.
