Director of Community Philanthropy

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Reporting to the President & CEO, the Director of Community Philanthropy will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the Foundation’s philanthropy activities including discretionary and designated grants, donor-advised funds, emergency grants, scholarships, and working closely with the Director of Programs & Community Outreach to develop and maintain strategic partnerships and initiatives.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Grants Management
• Oversee all of the Foundation’s grant making, including emergency grants, scholarships, donor advised funds, programmatic grants, etc.
Community Assessment and Leadership
• Work closely with the President and Director of Programs & Community Outreach to involve community leaders and stakeholders in identifying priority needs, community resources, programs, and trends throughout NMCF’s 33-county service area

Other Information/Requirements: 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5 years of progressively more responsible experience in philanthropy, nonprofit, or similar fields. Preference given to those with Foundation experience. (Individuals with comparable business experience may be considered as having equivalent qualification.)
• Strong computer and technology skills with an ability to learn, manage, and fully utilize multiple databases
