Director of Community Initiatives

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

• Oversight of all RRFB programs such as: Mobile Food Pantry, Food for Kids, SNAP Outreach and Senior Helpings programs.
• Perform outreach into unserved and underserved areas to bring new programming into those areas.
• Work towards increasing the capacity of our partner agencies to be more effective in their hunger relief efforts.
• Provide education to local/county government regarding hunger in their communities.
• Partner with resources to provide added services to clientele.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Analysis of new initiatives or ideas designed to provide more efficient or effective hunger relief in New Mexico.
• Management and oversight of program budgets.
• Collect and maintain data related to the populations served by special programs.
• Develop and present training to staff and community partners on hunger related topics.
• Displays passion and optimism for the work, provides vision and inspiration to peers and employees, and exemplifies RRFB core values.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Three years related non-profit experience
• One year experience in a supervisory position
• Ability to effectively organize and present information to groups, donors, volunteers, clients, and the general public
• Have a valid driver’s license as travel throughout the state is required
• High Computer proficiency
