Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Director of Child Development is a senior management position that provides leadership and management in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the early childhood and family support programs, including regulatory and grant compliance.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Oversee the quality of all Early Childhood Education programs and services while maintaining the high standards of NAEYC and New Mexico State regulations and policies. Director will mentor, supervise and direct teaching, kitchen and transportation staff; Coordinate monthly screenings, meetings and other events as they develop. Work with other administrative staff to monitor enrollments, extra curricular activities, facility maintenance and data collection and reporting.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Three years' supervisory experience in early childhood setting; bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field or associate degree in Early Childhood Education plus equivalent experience. Nonprofit experience preferred. Previous experience working with homeless, low-income or at-risk families a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish.
