Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Keres Children’s Learning Center (KCLC) seeks a Director of Advancement to establish enduring revenue sources for KCLC for the next decade and to put in place strategies for KCLC’s long-term prosperity, including support from foundations, individual donors, tribal, state and federal education dollars, KCLC’s own for-profit revenue stream, and an endowment.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

● Create a diversified funding plan for the next 10 years, securing funding sources to sustain an annual budget of over $500,000, such that KCLC can remain independent of mainstream educational imposition.
● Assume all grant seeking, writing, and reporting responsibilities.
● Increase income from KCLC’s donor base.
● Assist in acquiring new KCLC facilities.
● Research, educate, and hold discussions about how existing federal, state, and tribal policies affect models like KCLC.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Qualifications:
Education
● B.S. in Nonprofit Development, Finance, Business, Management, or Accounting
● MBA Preferred
Experience
● 3-5 years experience in nonprofit development, management, finance, business, or tribal administration
● 3-5 years in managing grants and/or budgets
● Experience working directly with Indigenous communities preferred
