Director of Adoptions

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Under the direction of the CEO, the Director of Adoptions is responsible for managing the daily functioning of the Adoption program which includes the clinical supervision, coordination of placements, facilitation of CYFD Homestudy and NM FIESTA grants and is responsible for program licensing requirements.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Provides oversight of placement activities in compliance with Child placement/Adoption Act standards.
Oversees all intakes, home studies, case assignments, child and family counseling, training, pregnancy counseling, inter-state coordination, matching, post-placement and post-decree services, document review and case management.
Is responsible for the supervision of the program staff.
Works closely with the finance department regarding program finances.

Other Information/Requirements: 

EDUCATION
Master’s degree in social work, family studies or a related field.
LICENSURE: LISW, LPCC or equivalent level of independent practice licensing.
EXPERIENCE
• Five years of experience in a child placement setting.
• Two year’s experience in a clinical setting with continued responsibility for supervision.
Experience with medical records, managed care and quality assurance tasks preferred.
Compensation: Dependent on Education and Experience
