Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The EleValle Director will, under the direction of the EleValle Board and Chair, manage programs and projects to further improve the health of the South Valley communities served by the Pathways to a Healthy Bernalillo County program, while cultivating relationships and resources to improve the effectiveness of the work performed by EleValle-network agencies and Navigators/CHWs.

Salary is $50 - $60k, commensurate with experience.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Director will develop and submit grants to private foundations and local, state, and federal sources; serve as a liaison among South Valley and Bernalillo County organizations; implement an advocacy-skills training program with the CHWs/Navigators; plan programs around issues of community health in the South Valley; work closely with EleValle evaluators and with EleValle’s fiscal manager; Director will administer the EleValle website and oversee EleValle’s social media presence.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Master’s Degree in Planning, Community Health, or related fields
• Ten (10) years comparable experience
• In-depth understanding of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and social determinants of health
• Extensive knowledge of the South Valley with recent working relationships
• Knowledge of community development models, community health practices
• Successful history of Board development, non-profit governance, grant writing, public speaking, fundraising and grant reporting
• Spanish fluency preferred
