Main Areas of Responsibility: 

A Better Way of Living Inc. provides a variety of support services to adults with developmental disabilities in the Albuquerque Metro area. Our Direct Support Professionals provide support services to promote and develop independence, communication, social skill development, job skills training, community involvement and daily life skills.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

You will work directly with individuals with various disabilities and support needs. Paid training is provided throughout your employment with us and you will be able to apply this knowledge to help individuals achieve their goals in life. Long-term career opportunities exist within this field, and many of our staff go on to career roles in legal guardianship, case management, behavioral therapy, and of course, to management and administration roles right here with us as we promote from within!

Other Information/Requirements: 

Necessary Requirements For Employment:

- Ability to pass criminal records check

- Ability to attend 10 days of paid new hire training

- High School Diploma or GED

- Must be 18 year of age or older

- Must possess a valid New Mexico Driver's License and Insurance

- Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 or willing to become vaccinated within ten days of hire

- A positive attitude!
