Development Officer/Manager

Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Development Officer/Manager will report to the Vice President for Development - Central and Mississippi Flyways - and build/manage a portfolio, using a range of activities, including personal visits, written proposals, telephone, email, appeals, events and tours. This role is based in Audubon's Santa Fe office. Candidates based in Albuquerque are encouraged to apply.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Essential functions:
1. Build and maintain a portfolio of 75-100 mid-level donors and prospects
2. Staff the Executive Director of New Mexico in his fundraising
3. Ensure accurate donor and prospect data collection and management in Salesforce

Other Information/Requirements: 

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and three to five years' professional experience in a development position that includes portfolio management, directly and/or in support of a senior leader focused on major gifts
Demonstrated success securing 5-figure gifts from individuals and/or institutions
Ability to travel throughout New Mexico up to 30% of the time
Must have a valid driver’s license
