Development Officer

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Development Officer is responsible, at the local level, for the development, oversight, execution and monitoring of a diversified comprehensive fund development & public awareness plan, aligned with MADD’s strategic plan. Ensures effective and aggressive growth in fund development through core strategies which are committed to fullfilling MADD’s mission, including but not limited to:corporate & foundation, individual giving, 3rd party events, honor/memorial giving & fundraising programs.

Other Information/Requirements: 

College degree or four years relevant experience; 2-4 years of successful fundraising experience in a nonprofit organization; Ability to demonstrate a successful fundraising track record;Strong communication skills, oral & written; excellent negotiating & presentation skills;Ability to manage multiple projects & deadlines; Independent judgment; ability to work with little supervision necessary; Ability to work as part of a team with staff & volunteers; Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
