Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Albuquerque Museum Foundation seeks a dynamic Development Officer to lead fundraising efforts, grow corporate sponsorships, expand community partnerships and planned giving. This key role strengthens donor relationships, secures sustainable revenue, and represents the Foundation in the community. Ideal candidates are experienced fundraisers with a passion for relationship-building and strategic growth.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Key duties include securing major corporate sponsorships, managing donor portfolios, and expanding planned giving. The role builds strategic community partnerships, supports fundraising events, and helps shape development strategy. Responsibilities also include donor engagement, data management, and cross-team collaboration to align fundraising with organizational goals and ensure sustainable revenue growth.

Other Information/Requirements: 

What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree, CFRE, or advanced degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of nonprofit fundraising experience, especially in major gifts and sponsorships.
• Proven understanding of planned giving strategies.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Self-starter who thrives in both independent and collaborative settings.
• Proficiency with donor databases (e.g., Raiser’s Edge).
