Development Manager

Full-Time
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Take a lead role working with the development team to secure funding and create short and long-term fundraising plans that include multiple revenue streams. Develop and manage prospect pool of major donors and build relationships for active giving. Work closely with the ED to build relationships with donors and foundations.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Expand current fundraising programs, events, and create new avenues for fundraising within the business community. Support with grant proposals, budgets, reports, and correspondence with foundations. Help to maintain grant management calendar for tracking deliverables. Provide ongoing support for other NMELC duties as needed.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Bilingual (especially Spanish or Indigenous languages)
Experience working with LGBTQIA+, frontline, and People of Color
Education and/or experience with environmental and/or social justice issues
Minimum of 5- 7 years experience in non-profit development, proven record of success in resource development, fundraising, planned giving, events, etc.

Salary Range: 
$72,000 - $85,000
