Development Director/Grants Manager

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

New Mexico Wildlife Federation, founded in 1914 by Aldo Leopold and today is New Mexico's oldest, most effective sportsman's conservation organization, seeks a Development Director/Grants Manager.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Work with the Executive Director and staff to implement a comprehensive development program to maintain and expand all sources of funding, with a primary focus on a charitable grants portfolio that meets the organization's mission.
• Execute full grant life cycle, including research, outreach, proposal, tracking, relationship management and reporting.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Preferred education, skills and experience:
• BA/BS degree.
• Nonprofit or philanthropic experience.
• 5-plus years in grants administration.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong project and time management skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Driven to meet or exceed deadlines and deliverables.
• Excellent social skills.
• Enjoy working independently and as part of a team.
