Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Site-Based Development Director will have primary responsibility for planning, directing and managing fundraising activities at an assigned PHS hospital, working with staff, board members and other volunteers. The Development Director will direct a grateful patient solicitation program, manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, and provide some on-call coverage for the Luminary Circle patient assistance/amenities program.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Manages a portfolio of 100-125 donors and ensures timely cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
• Develops a grateful patient solicitation program with an initial focus on building a base of annual donors through direct mail and targeted, personal solicitations

Other Information/Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field. Seven to 10 years of experience in fundraising or closely related field (business development/sales, marketing, communications, etc.). Knowledge of all major foundation functions. CFRE designation preferred. Proven track record in fundraising, including campaigns, major gifts and annual giving techniques and processes. Proficiency in MS Office programs and experience using Raiser’s Edge.
