Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Esperanza Shelter Development Director is responsible for designing, implementing and managing all fundraising cultivation activities including research, planning and developing fundraising opportunities. This will include securing financial resources through grant opportunities, annual appeal giving, endowment, capital campaigns, special projects, and other related solicitations that support the organization’s services and programs.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Manage all strategies and activities for donor cultivation, solicitation and relations

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree (required) or Master’s Degree (preferred).
• Five (5) years of experience in fund development and a successful record of accomplishment in donor cultivation and fund solicitation.
• Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Experience developing and maintaining productive working relationships with board members, donors and community members.
