Main Areas of Responsibility: 

CIS is seeking a dynamic, creative and well organized Development Director who is interested in helping a successful, growing, mission-driven nonprofit thrive. Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating all fundraising activities, with an emphasis on grants, foundations, major gifts and events, supporting an increase in revenue to fuel CIS’s expansion, capacity and continued programmatic success.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Manage grant proposal and reporting cycles, work with Program Admin Team to prepare proposals and reporting; Manage donor database; Manage all aspects of annual Spring and Fall direct mail campaigns; Create strategy for donor retention and expansion.

Other Information/Requirements: 

The successful candidate will be comfortable making pitches in person and asking people for money.
Requirements: Bachelors degree; experience in fundraising or sales and marketing with demonstrated track record of success; Strong oral communication skills, initiative, persistence, ability to multi-task, spirit of teamwork and positive attitude.
