Development Director

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director (ED), the Development Director will spearhead development efforts as NMCAN continues to grow and ensure fundraising targets are reached. A new position in the organization, they will have the opportunity to build the development function.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The Development Director will serve as the primary point of contact for donors and must possess outstanding interpersonal skills, knowledge of fundraising management and special events planning and management. Other Information/Requirements: 

A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of directly-related experience in New Mexico required, preferably working in a nonprofit capacity. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted if directly related to the essential duties and responsibilities.
