Development Director

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for driving the creation and implementation of the organization’s development plan and managing all aspects of APNM’s development program. Reports directly to Executive Director.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Create, implement development plan, budget. Donor and prospect engagement & stewardship. Foundation grant proposals. Manage donor collateral materials. Strategic fundraising & outreach events &initiatives, business enterprises, other earned income opportunities. Develop Board fund-raising capacity. Major gifts and donor acquisition program. Oversee fundraising committees. Manage staff, marketing, ads, outreach, brand discipline.

Other Information/Requirements: 

College degree, at least 5 years non-profit development experience including major gifts, foundations, membership, strategic planning, outreach. Computer-literate in business applications, donor software. Management experience, problem-solving, excellent communication and people skills, team experience, flexible, organized, familiar with New Mexico. Proven results in development.
