Development Director

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Development Director (DD) will lead Performance Santa Fe’s development efforts to support our music, dance, theater, and education programs. This is the principal staff position responsible for creating and implementing a dynamic plan for advancement to broaden our donor base and increase financial support.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The DD will leverage Performance Santa Fe’s programs and relationships to support and increase current giving and to secure new donations from individuals, corporations, foundations, and granting organizations.

Provides strategic development and implementation of giving programs, including researching, identifying, and cultivating new donors; conducting annual giving and special solicitation initiatives; donor database management; gift acknowledgement.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Minimum of five years’ experience in fundraising and development positions; a successful track record of gift solicitation from individual donors.

Extensive knowledge of fundraising principles, techniques, and ethics with an understanding of individual, corporate, planned giving, and grant funding strategies.
