Development Director

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for driving creation and implementation of organization’s development plan, and managing all aspects of APNM’s development program. Manages development staff and reports to Executive Director. POSITION BASED IN SANTA FE.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Create, implement development plan, budget. Donor and prospect engagement & stewardship. Foundation grant proposals. Manage donor collateral materials. Strategic fundraising, outreach events & initiatives, business enterprises, other earned income opportunities. Develop Board fund-raising capacity. Major gifts and donor acquisition program. Oversee fundraising committees. Manage marketing, ads, outreach, brand discipline.

Other Information/Requirements: 

College degree, at least 5 years nonprofit development experience including major gifts, foundations, membership, strategic planning, outreach. Computer-literate in business applications, donor software. Management and team experience, problem-solving, excellent communication and people skills, flexible, organized, familiar with New Mexico. Proven results in development.
