Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Design and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy able to sustain & strengthen the RMHC-NM’s relationship with existing individuals and donors, and create initiatives that will attract new prospects. Management of a comprehensive program to secure private gifts includes cultivating individual, foundation and corporate support. The successful candidate will require travel throughout New Mexico to help forge new relationships to build RMHC-NM’s visibility, impact & financial resources.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• In partnership with the Executive Director, manage fund development program to achieve goals, including annual giving campaigns, planned giving, donor stewardship and direct mail.
• Author grants in varying amounts to achieve annual support; write and submit grant reports to meet established deadlines; and track the grants process and management.
• Implement a strategy for statewide awareness and relationship building.

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent experience in a related field. Minimum 5 – 7 years experience in fund development
• Impeccable relationship & project management skills
• History of successful results in grant writing & management
• Strong interpersonal, written & presentation communication skills
• Strong team spirit & values to match organizational culture
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
