Development Associate

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

A key member of the development team for the downtown museums (New Mexico History Museum/Palace of the Governors and New Mexico Museum of Art) and Historic Sites. This individual contributes to the Foundation’s efforts to secure major gifts for the Directors Leadership Fund and Exhibition Development Fund programs. Responsibilities include prospect research, grant and proposal coordination, prospect and donor tracking, and donor communications and events.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently.
Outstanding organizational and planning skills.
A detail-oriented approach with excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to speak in public.
Excellent computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Raisers Edge. Familiarity with prospect research databases preferred.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Education and Experience:
Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree completed with 2 to 4 years prior experience.
A record of increasing responsibility in resource development for non-profit arts organizations.
A collegial and collaborative work style and the ability to work as part of a team.
