Development Associate

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Menaul School is seeking a detail-oriented individual to support the school’s advancement efforts in the following areas: fundraising, including annual and capital giving; donor cultivation and engagement; social media and special events. The Development Associate will report directly to the Director of Institutional Advancement and work closely with the Relationship Associate.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

• Maintain donor database
• Create donor reports
• Record donations
• Send end-of-year tax letters
• Add, edit and upload information to website
• Edit and create documents and publications
• Write and monitor grant proposals
• Reconcile donations with Business Office
• Oversee community partner programs
• Communicate with and support volunteers
• Coordinate church outreach
• General office duties and support as assigned

Other Information/Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in fundraising and grant writing
• Strong computer skills
• Knowledge of donor databases
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills and the ability to multi-task and meet aggressive deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication
• Ability to effectively articulate and live out Menaul School’s mission
• Adaptable to a variety of personalities
