Development and Community Relations Manager

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The Development & Community Manager works in partnership with the Regional CEO & leadership volunteers to create & implement a comprehensive fund development plan that will achieve new levels of giving for the Chapter.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsibilities include: significant revenue generation, both at organizational & personal levels; grant income & oversight of special events; liaison between the American Red Cross, the local community board, volunteers & the community; recruiting, training & managing high-level volunteers as well as corporate participation & sponsorship within the community; increasing Red Cross visibility and brand awareness within that community.

Other Information/Requirements: 

A Bachelor’s degree in non-profit management, community planning, business administration, communications, sales, marketing or a related field is required. Three or more years of successful fund raising or sales experience. Self starter with demonstrated ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple projects, and independently problem solve in a timely fashion.
Ability to travel throughout Chapter’s jurisdiction independently.
Availability for work during evening and weekend hours as needed.
