Data Support Specialist (VISTA Member)

Job Description
Main Areas of Responsibility: 

The primary role of the VISTA member will be to provide data analytic support to the Collaborative Action Networks and other community volunteer groups associated with United Way of Central New Mexico's "Mission: Graduate" initiative. The VISTA member will contribute to two major projects: (1) a comprehensive mapping and analysis of community assets that can support student success, and (2) development of a system to track community assets over time.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

The VISTA will provide regular updates to the community about the asset mapping project and other activities related to Mission: Graduate, including posting information to the website, supporting the development of a monthly newsletter, and supporting the development of Mission: Graduate’s annual data report.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Required Qualifications: Interest in or personal commitment to education and community development; Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and a general familiarity and comfort working with quantitative data; Ability to interpret and communicate data to diverse audiences; Professionalism, strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong inter-personal skills; Bachelor’s degree.
