Main Areas of Responsibility: 

As part of interpretive team, plan, organize, implement exhibitions, gallery displays, and installations in historic properties related to art/ life of Georgia O’Keeffe/American Modernism. Responsibilities include organizing exhibitions; preparing/tracking exhibition schedules/ budgets; managing loan requests; designing/managing exhibition installations; researching, writing, producing, editing materials for exhibitions, collections research, public programs, assisting with other activities.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Participates in conceptualizing and recommending policies and procedures related to exhibitions and collections. Mentor interns, young scholars and those interested in museum careers. Speak effectively to both scholarly and lay audiences; interact smoothly with various audiences, including trustees, donors, educators and artists

Other Information/Requirements: 

MA in American art history (minimum) and 5+ years of curatorial experience required, Ph.D. preferred.
Ability to handle all collection objects with great care, and general knowledge of museum practices and ethical standards required.
Working knowledge of collection-management tools and software
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
A commitment to community involvement and accessibility.
