Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Develop creative, mission driven strategy to position Museum as center for self-discovery, dialogue and learning. Oversee all phases of interpretive content development process, e.g., concept generation, design, delivery, evaluation and documentation. Work collaboratively to generate innovative approaches to audience engagement.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Responsible for development and implementation of programmatic calendar of events, including general coordination, budget preparation, identification of staffing needs and logistics. Direct interpretation and interaction through training and development of interpretive guides, staff and docents. Participate as member of exhibitions team. Provide support and direction to education and interpretation team members.

Other Information/Requirements: 

BA required (MA preferred) plus 5+ years of relevant experience. 3 years experience designing, managing and implementing education programs. Experience working and managing a team in a interdisciplinary environment. Experience building relationships internally and with outside stakeholders and community.
