Main Areas of Responsibility: 

Management of the care, husbandry and training of approximately 40 native wild animals with special emphasis on raptors. Oversight of NMWC's on-site, off-site and virtual wildlife conservation education programs. Supervise education staff, volunteers and interns.

Additional Areas of Responsibility: 

Presenting educational programs utilizing live animals. Administration, budgeting and record keeping. Assisting with marketing and promotion of NMWC's education programs and wildlife hospital. Undertaking or overseeing facility and grounds maintenance project.

Other Information/Requirements: 

Extensive raptor handling experience required, CPBT-KA (IATCB bird trainers’ certification) or similar certification is preferred. CIT certification (National Association of Interpretation) highly desirable. Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Environmental Education, Wildlife Management or related field required. Minimum of three years of management and staff supervisory experience.
